Artlifting’s Launch Party at NGIN Workplace was a huge success. Over 80 supporters flooded into NGIN’s spacious conference room to celebrate their Kickstarter project. Within the mix of the supporters there were 9 artists, 4 of them speaking of their personal story and how Artlifting has empowered their lives. After the short two hour party, Artlifting’s Kickstarter campaign had already raised 10% towards their crowdfunding goal and helped them gain amazing exposure.

“The event space that NGIN generously provided us was perfect,” exclaimed Powers. “It was set up with everything we needed – tables, plenty of wall space for art, a projector screen and great audio for the movie we played and our presentation.”
Powers expressed that the best part of the launch party was when their artists had the opportunity to speak to ArtLifting’s supporters.
“It was a great opportunity for our artists to get recognized publicly,” said Powers.
Artlifting will be using there $20,000 fundraised on Kickstarter to expand their inspiring social enterprise from Boston and Miami to five other major cities across the United States. The 5 cities include: New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Detroit and San Francisco. The Artlifing team’s goal is to travel to these cities over the next 6 months and empower more disadvantaged artists to grow their already lovely collection of art.
So far since the $20,000 was raised, Artlifting is already developing partnerships with shelters in Washington DC and San Francisco. One artist from DC is on ArtLifting.com and five artists from San Francisco will be on the site soon. Powers is very excited to continue to help more homeless and disabled individuals across the country and continue to spread our message of celebrating people’s strengths.
